Reconstructing Fatherhood

"Becoming a father is one of the most common but also one of the most profoundly life-altering experiences a man can have.”

(Anna Machin, author of The Life of Dad)

One-to-One

In today’s world, the role of a father is undergoing a profound transformation. We are moving beyond traditional stereotypes to embrace a more engaged and emotionally connected presence in our children's lives. While society is beginning to recognise this shift, the support structures for fathers are still lacking.

Many of us have grown up with the unspoken rules of masculinity: 1) Men don’t have problems. 2) If they do, they should solve them alone. 3) If they can’t solve them, they should go back to rule n°1. These outdated beliefs can leave us feeling isolated, unsure of where to turn when we need to share our fears, hopes, and aspirations as fathers.

That’s why we would like to offer you our One-to-One Support . Together, we will explore the complexities of fatherhood—both intellectually and emotionally. We’ll delve into the history of fatherhood, reflect on our personal experiences, and create a safe space to speak our truth.

Are you interested? Write us an email at hello@reconstructing-masculinity.net so we can arrange an exploratory call.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Fathers’ Circle

Together with our Workshops and One-to-One Support, we offer the Fathers’ Circle, a space to reconnect with our inner wisdom and strength, build meaningful connections, and foster a community for collective growth.

As Dr. David Spiegel wisely said, "We are all healers of each other. Healing happens between people.

  • We will establish Applied Principles to foster honesty, openness, respect, and accountability throughout our time together.

    - Acceptance: We start by embracing our thoughts, emotions, and sensations as they are. We move away from "shoulds" and "coulds" and acknowledge that everything present belongs.

    - Embodied Presence: We focus on staying in the moment, as our truth and power lie in the here and now. Our bodies are the gateway to our experiences.

    - Vulnerability & Emotional Labeling: We will explore our emotions, name them, and share them with one another, shedding the armor we've built over time. This vulnerability is where our true strength lies.

    - Brotherhood: We will support each other throughout the journey, holding space and empowering one another. Healing is a collective process—my healing is your healing.

    - Active Listening: We will practice non-judgmental listening, recognizing the power of being heard and seen.

    - Self-Compassion: We will approach ourselves with kindness and curiosity, allowing us to show up for ourselves and others.
